Operating System Image Package Status Home Page

Applies To: System Center Configuration Manager 2007, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R2, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R3, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 SP1, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 SP2

The Operating System Image Package Status Home page in the Configuration Manager 2007 console tree displays summary information for each image package on the Configuration Manager 2007 site.

For each site to which the image package is targeted, the following information is shown by default:

  • Site: Displays the name of the Configuration Manager 2007 site to which the image package is targeted.

  • Source Version: Displays the version number of the image package source files. This is incremented each time you revise the image package and can be used to determine whether a distribution point has the latest version of the image package source.

  • Targeted: Displays the total number of distribution points, including child sites that have been targeted with a copy of the image package.

  • Installed: Displays the total number of distribution points to which the current version of the image package has been successfully copied.

  • Retrying: Displays the total number of distribution points that have experienced a failure copying this image package, but that have not yet exceeded the number of retries allowed and are currently in an installation retrying or a removal retrying state.

  • Failed: Displays the total number of distribution points that have exceeded the number of retries allowed during an install or removal operation and are currently in an installation failed or retry failed state.

  • Summary Date: Displays the date and time when the Configuration Manager 2007 component status summarizer last updated the values displayed on this home page.

Selecting any site from the image package Status node displays the following information by default:

  • Distribution Point: Displays the name of each distribution point to which this image package has been targeted.

  • Source Version: Displays the version number of the image package source files. This is incremented each time you revise the image package and can be used to determine whether a distribution point has the latest version of the image package source.

  • State: Displays the current status of the image package on the distribution point.

  • Last Copied: Displays the date and time when the image package was last copied to the distribution point.

  • Path: Displays the location of the image package files on the distribution point.

  • Summary Date: Displays the date and time when the Configuration Manager 2007 component status summarizer last updated the values displayed on this home page.

You can use View, Add/Remove columns to add or remove information from this list.

Actions for the Operating System Image Package Status Home Page

The following actions are available from the operating system image package status home page:

 

Action Description

Show Messages

Opens the ConfigMgr Status Message Viewer window, allowing you to view a more detailed status from the selected image package. You can filter the results to show only items with the following severity:

  • All

  • Error

  • Warnings

  • Info

Give Feedback

Opens a Configuration Manager 2007 Web site where feedback can be given.

View

Provides the following view options:

  • Add/Remove columns: Specifies which columns display in the results pane. Select the column name from the Available columns list, and then click Add to add the column to the Displayed Columns list. Select the column name from the Displayed Columns list, and then click Remove to remove the column from the displayed columns. Click Restore Defaults to display the default columns. Click OK to save changes.

  • Export list: Exports the data in the results pane to a text or unicode text file that is tab or comma delimited.

  • Hide search bar: Specifies to hide the search bar located above the results pane.

Customize: Specifies which items are displayed in the Configuration Manager 2007 console.

New Window from Here

Opens a new console window using the current node as the root node.

Refresh

Refreshes the display with the most current information.

Help

Opens the associated help topic.
