Event Sources

Event Sources

The Microsoft Speech Server (MSS) logging schema defines events for the entire server environment. Part of the event definition is the source, or MSS component, that raises the event.

The event source is recorded in the Windows event log (under the Source column in Event Viewer), and as "EventSourceName" in the Windows event trace log.

Knowing the event source is useful for debugging, and for tracing issues in a distributed environment.

Note  It is also possible to gather events only from a specific source. For more information, see Filtering Logged Events.
