Configuring SES and TAS for Telephony Applications

Configuring SES and TAS for Telephony Applications

If you use Speech Application Deployment Service (SADS) to manage more than one application, configure Speech Engine Services (SES) and Telephony Application Services (TAS) to use specific SADS components that automatically manage the use of associated files and resources for each application.

To Configure SES and TAS to Use Specific SADS Components

  1. Open the Microsoft Speech Server (MSS) snap-in for Microsoft Management Console (MMC). (For instructions, see Administering Speech Server Using MMC.)

  2. In the console tree, expand Microsoft Speech Server, and then expand the applicable group.

  3. In the details pane, double-click the applicable server that has SES installed on it. This opens the SES properties page.

  4. Click the Speech Services Settings tab.

  5. Under Preloaded Resource Manifest URL, type the full path and file name for SESManifest.aspx, which is located in the MS_Speech_Deployment virtual folder on the Web server. For example, type:

    https://My_WebServer/MS_Speech_Deployment/SESManifest.aspx

  6. Click OK, and then double-click the applicable TAS server. This opens the TAS properties page.

  7. Click the Telephony Services Configuration tab.

  8. In Inbound Application Start Page, type the full path and file name for TASStartPage.aspx, which is located in the same folder as SESManifest.aspx.

For MSS Enterprise Edition, use the Replicate Settings option to propagate settings to all other TAS or SES computers in a group. See Replicating Speech Engine Services Settings and Replicating Telephony Application Services Settings.
