Replicating Speech Engine Services Settings
Replicating Speech Engine Services Settings
Use the following procedure to replicate settings from one computer to all other computers running Speech Engine Services (SES) within an MSS group.
Important Replication can only be done within a domain, or if the local account being replicated already exists on the target computers.
The values for all properties defined in the WMI SES, EngineConfiguration, LogSettings, and TrustedSite classes will be replicated, with the exception of:
AudioConnectionIP property (SES)
DiskCacheLocation property (SES)
File locations are not typically replicated. For example, the Location property of the LogSettings class is not replicated, as this value would likely change from computer to computer.
To replicate SES settings to all other SES computers in a group
Open the MMC Administration console. (For instructions, see Administering Speech Server Using MMC.)
In the console tree, double-click Microsoft Speech Server and then double-click the applicable group.
In the details pane, right-click the applicable SES computer, point to All Tasks, and then click Replicate Settings.
Click OK to replicate the settings to other SES computers in the group.
Remarks
If a language pack is installed on the computer whose settings are to be replicated, the non-English engine configurations are also replicated. If no matching language pack exists on the destination computer, SES displays "Not installed" in the Speech Engine Configurations tab of the Microsoft Management Console (MMC) snap-in. For more information, see Configuring Support for Additional Languages.
