Removing a Deployed Application

Removing a Deployed Application

Removing an application from a managed MSS deployment consists of:

  • Removing the application from the list that Speech Application Deployment Service (SADS) manages.

  • Uninstalling the application from the Web server.

Prior to removing a deployed application, implement a redirect mechanism for the application phone number. This can be done either with a new Start page setting, or (in a distributed environment) by using a PBX unit to reroute calls to and from each TAS computer as needed.

To remove the application from SADS

  1. Open the MMC Administration console. (For instructions, see Administering Speech Server Using MMC.)

  2. In the console tree, expand Microsoft Speech Server and then expand the applicable group.

  3. In the details pane, double-click the Web server where the application is deployed.

  4. In Application Manifest URL, select the application to remove and then click Remove Application.

If no uninstall program is available for the application, remove the application-related files manually.
