Standard Edition Topology

Standard Edition Topology

The Standard Edition topology consists of Speech Engine Services (SES) and Telephony Application Services (TAS) installed on a single computer. TAS is required if your system will be supporting telephony (voice-only) applications. TAS requires a telephony board and associated telephony interface manager (TIM) software.

In addition, a Web server running Internet Information Services (IIS) and ASP.NET is required. This can run on the same computer as MSS or on a separate computer. The Web server is used for hosting the speech-enabled applications.

Note The minimum hardware requirement for pilot testing purposes is a computer with 1 GHz CPU and 512 MB of RAM for running SES and TAS.
