Monitoring Clusters

This topic contains information about monitoring your cluster.

Analyzing Network Availability

You will periodically analyze your network availability to ensure that your content and services are at their highest availability and performance. To do this pay special attention to the following performance counters:

  • Current Connections (Web Service or FTP Service): These connections consume memory and, if data is being transmitted across them, your available bandwidth, so if this number continues to grow, you might want to check the ASP time-out setting. For more information about this setting, see the Microsoft Internet Information Services documentation.

  • User Connections (SQL): These connections consume your available bandwidth, so if this number continues to grow, you might want to check the SQL Server time-out setting. For more information about this setting, see the Microsoft SQL Server documentation.
