View Information

Use these procedures to get a quick summary for a cluster or cluster member by viewing status, events, performance counters, and monitors.

To view member status

  • In the Application Center snap-in, click the cluster node or cluster member node.

    The status appears in the details pane. This status is updated every 30 seconds.

    Bb687501.note(en-us,TechNet.10).gif Note   The status for each member is an aggregate of the Microsoft Health Monitor 2.1 status for that member.

To view events

  • In the Application Center snap-in, expand the cluster node or cluster member node, and then click Events.

    The events appear in the details pane. The Events view is not updated automatically. To update the Events view to check for new events, click Refresh or press F5.

To view performance counters

  • In the Application Center snap-in, click the cluster node or cluster member node.

    The performance chart appear in the details pane. This chart is updated every 30 seconds. You can customize the performance chart to show only specific performance counters, only performance counters from a specific time frame, or both.

To view monitors for a member

  • In the Application Center snap-in, expand the cluster node, expand the member node, and then click Monitors.

    The monitors appear in the details pane. This status is updated every 30 seconds.
