Recipient Properties > Mailbox Settings Tab > Messaging Records Management (RTM)

Applies to: Exchange Server 2007

Topic Last Modified: 2008-09-13

Use the Messaging Records Management dialog box to apply a managed folder mailbox policy to a recipient and to suspend the retention settings of items in the mailbox.

A managed folder mailbox policy is a logical grouping of managed folders. When a managed folder mailbox policy is applied to a user's mailbox, all the managed folders that are linked to the policy are deployed in a single operation, thereby making the deployment of messaging records management (MRM) easier.

Managed folder mailbox policy

Select this check box to specify a managed folder mailbox policy. Clear the check box to remove the policy from the recipient. The name of the selected policy appears in the box at the top of the page. To select a policy to apply to the recipient, click Browse.

importantImportant:
Versions of Microsoft Outlook earlier than Outlook 2003 Service Pack 2 (SP2) do not support Managed Custom Folders. You can use the Set-CASMailbox cmdlet to enable client version blocking. Computers running Outlook 2003 SP2 are supported, but will not have access to the full range of features that are available in computers running Office Outlook 2007.
