New SMTP Send Connector Wizard > Address Space Page (RTM)

Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 will reach end of support on April 11, 2017. To stay supported, you will need to upgrade. For more information, see Resources to help you upgrade your Office 2007 servers and clients.

Applies to: Exchange Server 2007

Use the Address space page of the New SMTP Send Connector wizard to specify a domain or a domain and all its subdomains for which the Send connector will send mail. You can configure only an SMTP address space by using the Exchange Management Console. To configure a non-SMTP address space, you must use the New-SendConnector cmdlet in the Exchange Management Shell. Non-SMTP address spaces may only be configured on Send connectors that exist on Hub Transport servers.

  • Add
To specify a domain to which this Send connector will route mail, click Add, and then in the Domain field, type the domain name as follows, for example: contoso.com. To also use this connector to route mail to all subdomains of the address space, select Include all subdomains.

You can also include all domain names by entering wildcard characters (*) as follows, for example: "*" or "*.com". Wildcard characters are only permitted when specifying domains or subdomains as defined in RFC 1035. For example, "*.contoso.com" is permitted, but "*contoso.com" is not permitted.

  • Remove
To remove a domain from the address space list, select the domain, and then click Remove icon.
