Site Settings Property Pages

Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007 site settings are used to configure primary and secondary sites. For secondary sites, some options are not available (for example, any settings for connecting to the site database and configuring the site mode). Most settings in the Site Settings node are onetime configurations.

Allows you to view all the accounts configured in the Configuration Manager 2007 console and configure the passwords Configuration Manager 2007 should use when accessing the account.

Active Directory System Discovery Properties
Configures options for discovering computer names in Active Directory.

Active Directory Security Group Discovery Properties
Configures options for discovering security groups in Active Directory.

Active Directory System Group Discovery Properties
Configures options for discovering computer system groups in Active Directory.

Active Directory User Discovery Properties
Configures options for discovering user accounts in Active Directory.

Address Properties
Configures options for how Configuration Manager 2007 transfers data between two sites in a site hierarchy, such as how much bandwidth to use, when to use the sender address for Configuration Manager 2007 data, and which accounts to use when connecting to the other site.

Advertised Programs Client Agent Properties
Configures the software distribution components on the Configuration Manager 2007 client computers.

Advertisement Status Summarizer Properties: General Tab
Configures how Configuration Manager 2007 sends advertisement status messages to the parent site (for example, which type and priority of message to replicate).

Boundary Properties
Configures the IP subnets, IP address ranges, and Active Directory sites used by Configuration Manager 2007 to determine which computers can be managed by this Configuration Manager 2007 site.

Certificates Properties
Allows you to view and block the certificates used by operating system deployment PXE service points and boot media, and to manage the certificates used by ISV proxy management points.

Client Agents Properties
Configures which Configuration Manager 2007 components are enabled on client computers and how the components are configured.

Client Push Installation Properties
Configures how Configuration Manager 2007 will push the client components to computers in the site (for example, which types of computers to push to and which accounts to use).

Component Configuration Properties
Configures site-wide settings for Configuration Manager 2007 components (for example, settings that affect all site systems).

Component Status Summarizer Properties
Configures settings for summarizing and replicating status messages from Configuration Manager 2007 components.

Computer Client Agent Properties: General Tab
Configures the settings that apply to general client computer operation, such as how often clients should check for policy.

Desired Configuration Management Client Agent Properties
Configures the desired configuration management components on the Configuration Manager 2007 client computers.

Mobile Device Client Agent Properties
Configures the settings that apply to device client operation, such as how often device clients should check for policy and take inventory.

Configures options for discovering resources on your network.

Distribution Point Group Properties: General Tab
Configures site-wide settings for all distribution points.

Free Space Threshold Properties: General Tab
Configures warning and critical thresholds when a storage object (path or database) falls below the specified minimum free space.

Hardware Inventory Client Agent Properties
Configures the hardware inventory components on the Configuration Manager 2007 client computers.

Heartbeat Discovery Properties: General Tab
Configures options for rediscovering computers that are already Configuration Manager 2007 clients.

Management Point Component Properties: General Tab
Configures site-wide settings for all management points.

Network Access Protection Client Agent Properties
Configures the Configuration Manager 2007 Network Access Protection components on the Configuration Manager 2007 client computers.

Network Discovery Properties
Configures options for discovering network resources using Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP), subnets, and domains.

Out of Band Management Properties
Configures options for the out of band management component for Configuration Manager 2007 SP1 and later.

Site Properties
Configures settings that affect the entire site, such as the site mode and the ports used to communicate with client computers.

Site System Properties
Configures the computers hosting site roles in this site.

Site System Status Summarizer Properties
Configures how Configuration Manager 2007 sends site system status messages to the parent site (for example, which type and priority of message to replicate).

ConfigMgr Component Server Properties
Serves as a placeholder for all site systems hosting the ConfigMgr Executive service. Configuration Manager 2007 performs all configuration for this site role, including removal. There are no configurable settings in this dialog box.

ConfigMgr Device Management Point Properties: General Tab
Serves as a placeholder for all management points configured to support device clients. There are no configurable settings in this dialog box. This site role is managed from the ConfigMgr Management Point Properties: General Tab.

ConfigMgr Distribution Point Properties: General Tab
Configures properties for the Configuration Manager 2007 servers distributing software to client computers.

ConfigMgr Distribution Point Server Share Properties: General Tab
Configures properties for the Configuration Manager 2007 servers distributing software to client computers but using a named shared folder instead of all available hardware space.

ConfigMgr Fallback Status Point Properties: General Tab
Configures properties for the Configuration Manager 2007 servers accepting unauthenticated status messages from clients that cannot communicate with their assigned management points.

ConfigMgr Management Point Properties: General Tab
Configures properties for the Configuration Manager 2007 servers used as the primary point of contact for Configuration Manager 2007 client computers and Configuration Manager 2007 device clients.

ConfigMgr PXE Service Point Properties
Configures properties for the Configuration Manager 2007 servers hosting boot images and responding to PXE requests from Configuration Manager 2007 client computers.

ConfigMgr Reporting Point Properties: General Tab
Configures properties for the Configuration Manager 2007 servers hosting Configuration Manager 2007 reports.

ConfigMgr Server Locator Point Properties: General Tab
Configures properties for the Configuration Manager 2007 servers hosting Configuration Manager 2007 reports.

ConfigMgr Site Server Properties: General Tab
Serves as a placeholder for the computer hosting the Configuration Manager 2007 site server role. There are no configurable settings in this dialog box. The only way to remove this role is to run Setup and uninstall the site.

Site System Properties: General Tab
Configures the properties that are common for all Configuration Manager 2007 server roles.

Site System Server Share Properties: General Tab
Configures the properties that are common for all Configuration Manager 2007 servers using a named shared folder instead of all available hardware space.

ConfigMgr Site Database Server Properties: General Tab
Serves as a placeholder for the computer hosting the Configuration Manager 2007 site database. There are no configurable settings in this dialog box. The only way to remove this role is to move the site database to a different server.

State Migration Point Properties: General Tab
Configures properties for the Configuration Manager 2007 servers storing client computer configuration information when using operating system deployment to migrate a user profile to a new computer.

ConfigMgr System Health Validator Point Properties: General Tab
Configures properties for the Configuration Manager 2007 servers hosting the Windows Network Policy Server role.

Software Distribution Properties
Configures site-wide properties for software distribution.

Software Inventory Client Agent Properties
Configures the software inventory components on the Configuration Manager 2007 client computers.

Software Metering Client Agent Properties
Configures the software metering components on the Configuration Manager 2007 client computers.

Software Update Point Client Installation Properties
Configures whether to enable client installation as a software update.

Software Updates Client Agent Properties
Configures the software updates components on the Configuration Manager 2007 client computers.

Status Summary Properties
Configures how Configuration Manager 2007 summarizes status messages to the parent site.

Status Filter Rules Properties
Configures rules for which Configuration Manager 2007 status messages Configuration Manager 2007 keeps, discards, forwards, or takes any other action on.

Status Threshold Properties: General Tab
Specifies how many messages of the specified type cause Configuration Manager 2007 to generate a warning message and how many total messages cause Configuration Manager 2007 to generate a critical message.

Status Reporting Properties: General Tab
Specifies the types of status messages Configuration Manager 2007 clients and servers report.

System Health Validator Point Component Properties
Configures site-wide properties for Configuration Manager 2007 Network Access Protection.
