Some Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007 features are configured independently of each other while some features depend on each other. Some features, such as software updates, require extensive preparation prior to configuring the options in the Configuration Manager 2007 console, while other features, such as software metering, are ready to use with no additional preparation. Some features also have dependencies on technologies external to Configuration Manager 2007.
