Applies To: System Center Configuration Manager 2007, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R2, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R3, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 SP1, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 SP2

When you enable logging for a component, Configuration Manager logs the activities of that component.

If you selected multiple components, you can select the Use same file for all selected components check box and specify a single log file name for all components.

How to enable logging for a component

  1. Open ConfigMgr Service Manager.

  2. Navigate to the components that you want to log.

  3. In the right pane, select one or more components.

  4. On the Component menu, click Logging.

  5. In the ConfigMgr Component Logging Control dialog box, select the Logging enabled check box.
