Custom Maintenance Task Planning

Applies To: System Center Configuration Manager 2007, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R2, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R3, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 SP1, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 SP2

You can create custom maintenance tasks that run valid SQL commands directly against the Configuration Manager 2007 site database. You can specify a single SQL command up to 255 characters long or the name of an existing stored procedure.

When planning for custom site maintenance tasks, ensure that you verify the impact of the task on site database operations and schedule the custom maintenance task to run when the site database operations will not be affected.
