Add Device Drivers to a Boot Image

Applies To: System Center Configuration Manager 2007, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R2, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R3, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 SP1, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 SP2

Microsoft Windows device drivers that have been imported into the driver catalog can be added to one or more boot images. These drivers can be mass storage device drivers or network adapter device drivers.

This dialog box contains the following elements.

 

Name Description

Browse

Specifies a different device driver in a stored different directory. Select the boot images you want to associate the device driver with.

Select All

Adds the Windows device drivers to all existing boot images.

Clear All

Clears the selection of all boot images, so that the Windows device drivers will not be added to any boot images.

Update Distribution points when finished

Updates the distribution points immediately. To update distribution points later, right-click the driver package to be added, and then click Update Distribution Points. Device drivers must be available on a distribution point for computers to install them.
