Managing Protection Agents

Applies To: System Center Data Protection Manager 2007

Before you can start protecting data, you must install a protection agent on each computer that contains data that you want to protect.

In the Management task area, you can do the following:

  • Install protection agents on the computers that you want to protect.

  • If updates are available, update the protection agents on the computers that you are protecting.

  • Uninstall the protection agent from the computers that you have stopped protecting.

  • Check the status of the protection agent on each of your protected computers.

  • Update protection agent licenses.
