How to Check Data Protection Job Status
Applies To: System Center Data Protection Manager 2007
Data Protection Manager (DPM) tracks the status of data protection jobs as scheduled, completed, canceled, or failed. In the Monitoring task area, you can check the status of jobs.
Note
DPM does not support some types of files and displays a warning of unsupported data in these cases. For more information, see the "How to display warnings for unsupported data" procedure below.
To check data protection job status
In DPM Administrator Console, click Monitoring on the navigation bar, and then click the Jobs tab.
In the Group by list box, select Status.
To review details for a specific job, select the job and refer to the information in the Details pane. The rest of the table then re-sorts relative to the column title that you click.
Note
DPM limits how long a job can run before it is completed. For example, if a synchronization job times out, DPM generates an error and the job status is reported as Failed.
How to display warnings for unsupported data
In DPM Administrator Console, click Monitoring on the navigation bar, and then click the Jobs tab.
In the Group by list box, select Type.
In the Status pane, check all Synchronization jobs for warnings about unsupported data.
Click the warning for information about which datasources have recovery failures.
Note
