Install the PerformancePoint Add-in for Excel
You install PerformancePoint Add-in for Excel by using a two-step process:

Install prerequisite software.

Install PerformancePoint Add-in for Excel.
Prerequisite software for PerformancePoint Add-in for Excel includes the Microsoft .NET Framework version 2.0 and selected Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Service Pack 1 redistributables.

You must have either Microsoft Office Excel 2003 or Office Excel 2007 installed. |
We highly recommend that you install the prerequisite software in the same order as it is installed in the following procedure.
Install the prerequisite software

Install the Microsoft .NET Framework Version 2.0 Redistributable Package from the Microsoft Download Center (http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=87219).

Install Microsoft Core XML Services (MSXML) 6.0 (msxml6.msi) from the Microsoft Download Center (http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=76339).

Install Microsoft ADOMD.NET (SQLServer2005_ADOMD.msi) and Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services 9.0 OLE DB Provider (SQLServer2005_ASOLEDB9.msi) from the Feature Pack for Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Web site (http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=87243).
Install the PerformancePoint Add-in for Excel

From your installation media, run PPLXCli.msi.

Select the License Agreement check box, click Next, and then click Next again.

Click Install.

When the installation is complete, click Finish.
Note: PerformancePoint Add-in for Excel is installed to the following location by default: <SystemDrive>:\%Program Files%\Microsoft Office PerformancePoint Server\3.0\Excel Client.
