Note

Important

If you select Authentication over SSL encrypted channel, a certificate must be installed on the Configuration Storage server. You can use the ISACertTool, available on the ISA Server Download Center (https://www.microsoft.com/), to deploy certificates. By default, ISACertTool deletes all certificates in the ADAM_ISASTGCTRL local store. By including the /keepcerts switch when you run the tool, you can retain all existing certificates.
Certificates typically have an expiration period, usually no more than one year. ISA Server cannot use an expired certificate. Be sure to renew your certificates before they expire, so that ISA Server can continue to function.
