Important

Microsoft Exchange publishing rules are used for Web-based client access such as Microsoft Outlook Web Access, Outlook RPC/HTTP(S), Outlook Mobile Access, and Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync. To publish client access to mail servers over RPC, IMAP, POP3, and SMTP, create a mail server publishing rule.
If you are publishing Outlook Web Access, be sure to select a listener that is configured to use forms-based authentication, on the Select Web Listener page of the wizard.
For Outlook Web Access that uses Exchange Server 2003 or earlier, you must use Basic delegation.
When you publish RPC over HTTP, the ISA Server log may contain Failed Connection entries including Error 64: "The specified network name is no longer available" (ERROR_NETNAME_DELETED). You can safely ignore these entries, which are a response to how Exchange handles the RPC over HTTP connection.
Use of Kerberos constrained delegation requires that you configure Active Directory to recognize ISA Server as trusted for delegation.
After you click Apply in the details pane, the policy is updated. The new policy applies only to new connections.
