Using RADIUS authentication

To use RADIUS authentication

  1. In the Forefront TMG Management console tree, click Virtual Private Networks (VPN).

  2. On the Tasks tab, click Specify RADIUS Configuration.

  3. On the RADIUS tab, select Use RADIUS for authentication.

  4. Click RADIUS Servers, and then review the configuration.

  5. If necessary, click Add, and then enter the details for the relevant RADIUS server.

Important

When you set the properties of a RADIUS server here, you are setting them for the entire system; the settings are not restricted to only VPN user authentication.

When multiple RADIUS servers are available, they are queried in the order listed in the RADIUS Servers dialog box. To optimize user authentication, click RADIUS Servers, and make sure the RADIUS servers are ordered appropriately for your deployment.
