Installing SQL Server

Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 and Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2 will reach end of support on January 9, 2018. To stay supported, you will need to upgrade. For more information, see Resources to help you upgrade your Office 2007 servers and clients.

Before you can enable archiving, Microsoft SQL Server must be installed either on the computer that is running the Archiving and CDR Server or on a dedicated database server. Ensure that you have either SQL Server 2005, SP1 (32-bit or 64-bit) or SQL Server 2000 SP4 installed. For more information about installing SQL Server 2005, see https://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/sql/2005/library/gettingstarted.mspx.
