Installing Archiving and CDR Server with Archservice.msi

Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 and Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2 will reach end of support on January 9, 2018. To stay supported, you will need to upgrade. For more information, see Resources to help you upgrade your Office 2007 servers and clients.

Archservice.msi installs or uninstalls Office Communications Server, Archiving and CDR Server. Launch Archservice.msi from the setup CD with the following syntax:

Msiexec.exe /i Archservice.msi [LOGSRVQ=<Private Message Queue Name>] [Optional Msiexec.exe Parameters]

Note

The LOGSRVQ parameter is required if installing with /qr, /qb or /qn parameters. LOGSRVQ specifies the name of message queue that will be used by the Archiving and CDR Server. If the message queue does not exist, it will be created.

Such as:

Msiexec.exe /i Archservice.msi /l*v C:\Arch.log

or

Archservice.msi /uninstall

An installation wizard appears to prompt the user through the process.

Note

Installation of the Archiving and CDR Server requires Microsoft Message Queuing Service (MSMQ) to be installed in advance. You can use the Add/Remove Windows Components wizard from Add or Remove Programs in Control Panel.
