Installing Web Components Server with WebComponents.msi
Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 and Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2 will reach end of support on January 9, 2018. To stay supported, you will need to upgrade. For more information, see Resources to help you upgrade your Office 2007 servers and clients.
WebComponents.msi installs or uninstalls Office Communications Server, Web Components Server. Launch WebComponents.msi from the setup CD with the following syntax:
Msiexec.exe /i WebComponents.msi [Optional Msiexec.exe Parameters]
Such as:
Msiexec.exe /i WebComponents.msi /l*v C:\WebComp.log
An installation wizard will appear that will prompt the user through the rest of the process.
Note
Installation requires Unified Communications Managed API 1.0 Redistributable to be installed in advance. From within the Office Communications Server installation disc, locate and run UCMARedist.msi.
Installation of the Web Components Server also requires Internet Information Services (IIS) 6.0 to be installed in advance.
