How to Open Another User's Calendar in Outlook Web Access

Applies to: Exchange Server 2007 SP2, Exchange Server 2007 SP1 Topic Last Modified: 2007-11-29

This topic explains how to use Web Parts in Microsoft Office Outlook Web Access in Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 to open the calendar folder in a mailbox that you are not logged on to.

Outlook Web Access Web Parts lets you access Outlook Web Access content directly from a URL.

Bb936726.note(en-us,EXCHG.80).gifNote:
To use Outlook Web Access Web Parts, both your mailbox and the mailbox that you are accessing through a Web Part must be in the same Active Directory forest.

To perform this procedure, the account you use must be delegated at least reviewer access to the calendar folder of the mailbox.

  1. Enter the following URL:

https:// Outlook Web Access URL /owa/ SMTP address of the other mailbox /?cmd=contents&module=calendar

    • If you are already logged on to Outlook Web Access by using a user ID that has at least reviewer access, the calendar will open immediately.
    • If you are not already logged on to Outlook Web Access, you will receive a logon prompt. Log on by using a user ID that has at least reviewer access to the calendar.

For more information, see How to Use Outlook Web Access Web Parts.
