Support for Server Role Collocation
Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 and Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2 will reach end of support on January 9, 2018. To stay supported, you will need to upgrade. For more information, see Resources to help you upgrade your Office 2007 servers and clients.
Office Communications Server 2007 does not support installation of any server role on a domain controller or global catalog server. Installation on a domain controller of the Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 administrative tools and the Communicator Web Access administrative tools is supported.
Table 4 lists supported server role collocation. It is reasonable to expect that performance will be degraded when server roles are collocated.
