Using reports

You can use DPM reports to track the success of synchronization and shadow copy jobs, to help you analyze your network traffic, review disk utilization, and/or monitor trends in data protection activity. Before you can start using reports, you must activate the DPM reporting account. After the reporting account is activated, you can view reports, schedule reports, and subscribe to reports sent by e-mail.
DPM reporting uses SQL Server to collect data and SQL Server 2000 Reporting Services to generate reports. Reporting Services provides tools that you can use to monitor and/or troubleshoot DPM reporting. For more information about troubleshooting DPM reporting, see the DPM Operations Guide.
