Components of a DPM Installation

A complete installation of DPM includes Windows Server 2003 (Standard or Enterprise Edition) with Service Pack 1 (SP1), the DPM application, and the DPM prerequisite software. The prerequisite software includes:

  • Internet Information Services (IIS)  6.0

  • Microsoft® SQL Server™ 2000 (Standard or Enterprise Edition)

  • Microsoft® SQL Server™ 2000 Service Pack 3a (SP3a) or later

  • Microsoft® SQL Server™ 2000 hotfix 859

  • Microsoft® SQL Server™ 2000 Reporting Services (Standard or Enterprise Edition)

  • Microsoft® SQL Server™ 2000 Reporting Services Service Pack 1 (SP1) or later

DPM is distributed on a single CD. The DPM product CD contains the Standard Editions of SQL Server 2000 and SQL Server 2000 Reporting Services, Service Pack 3a for SQL Server, and Service Pack 1 for Reporting Services. The DPM CD includes all languages available for DPM.
