How to change the reporting password

Published : April 8, 2005 | Updated : August 17, 2005

You activate the DPM reporting account, DPMReport, by providing a password. By default, the password does not expire, but a group or computer policy may override the default setting. You can reactivate the reporting password, or change it, as needed.

To change the reporting password, you must be logged on to the DPM server with an account that has Administrative rights on that computer.

To change the password for the reporting account

  1. Open the DPM Administrator console and click Reporting on the navigation bar.

  2. In the Actions pane, click Change reporting password.

  3. On the Reporting Password tab, type the password and then, to confirm it, retype the password in the next text box.

  4. Click OK.
