Today's corporate computing environments require heightened security. In accordance with the Microsoft company-wide Trustworthy Computing initiative, Exchange Server 2003 running on Microsoft Windows Server 20031 provides many new features and enhancements to improve reliability, manageability, and security. This paper provides an overview of Windows Server 2003 compatibility with Exchange Server 2003, Exchange 2000 Server, and Exchange Server 5.5 in addition to supported configurations in a mixed-mode Exchange Server and Microsoft Windows based environment.

Exchange Server 2003 does not run on 64-bit editions of Windows Server 2003.
