You can configure Internet Explorer feature control settings by using the Office Customization Tool (OCT) or by using the Group Policy Object Editor.

Before you begin configuring settings, be sure you meet the planning requirements, administrative requirements, and tool requirements that are described in this section.

ImportantImportant:
Internet Explorer feature control settings are supported only on the 2007 Office system. If you have a side-by-side installation of the 2007 Office system and an earlier version of the Office release (such as Office 2003), the Internet Explorer feature control settings might cause unexpected behavior in applications that are not part of the 2007 Office system.

Use the following procedure to configure Internet Explorer feature control settings for all applications except Microsoft Office InfoPath 2007.
