Tasks in the Virtual Server 2005 R2 Management Pack

The Virtual Server Management Pack provides the tasks described in Table 4.

Usage notes:

  • To run a task that is performed on the virtual machine, you must select the virtual machine host on which the virtual machine is running and then specify which virtual machine to start. The tasks are not available when a virtual machine is selected.

  • To complete these tasks successfully, the agent Action Account must have View and Control permissions in the Virtual Server security settings.

  • The Start Virtual Server and Stop Virtual Server tasks cannot run under a low-privilege account. For these tasks, the Action Account must have administrative rights on the virtual machine host.
