This section describes the results of testing MOM 2005 performance over low-bandwidth networks. The testing was done over a simulated 64-Kbps line, using Network Emulator for Windows, with simulated load on the agents. In each scenario, each agent was loaded as follows:

  • 1 unsuppressed alert every 30 minutes

  • 5 suppressed state alerts every 30 minutes

  • 5 events every 5 minutes

  • 30 performance counters every 5 minutes

  • MOM and Windows Base Operating System Management Pack Service Discovery data every 12 hours
