Verifying Results of Agent Installation
This section describes how you can verify the results of agent installation.
Using the Task Progress Dialog
On the last page of the Install / Uninstall Agents wizard, you can select the Show task progress option to view the task progress as it happens. This progress dialog shows the agents that are being installed, the progress of the agents installation, the success or failure issues with agent installations, and a summary of the process.
Reviewing Computer Discovery Status in the MOM Administrator console
All discovered computers should appear in the All Computers group with an indication of their management mode status. The computers should also appear in other appropriate folders depending on the management mode specified when the computers were targeted. For agent-managed computers, if the Management Server is set not to automatically agents, those computers should appear in the Pending Actions folder.
To verify that computers are discovered
In the MOM Administrator console, expand Administration, expand Computers, and then click All Computers.
Review the list of computers to make sure all of them are there.
