Manually Updating the MSSecure.cab File

You can manually update the MSSecure.cab file by dropping this file in the physical directory that hosts this file on the File Transfer Server:

  • Download location - https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=18922. The downloaded file will include a version number, such as MSSecure_1033.cab.

  • Destination location - \Program Files\Microsoft Operations Manger 2005\Downloaded Files\management_group.

The File Transfer Server does not require access to the Internet when using this method.

If you are manually updating the MSSecure.cab file, then disable the Download mssecure.cab from https://www.microsoft.com rule in the File Transfer Server rule group.
