Installing, Enabling, and Configuring SMS Remote Tools

SMS Remote Tools requires installing and configuring components on both the SMS site server and the clients. If you select the Remote Tools option in the setup wizard, the Remote Tools server components are installed during a primary or secondary site installation, or during an SMS Administrator console installation.

Before you can use Remote Tools to connect to and support clients, you must enable and configure the Remote Tools Client Agent settings for the site. After you enable Remote Tools on a site, the Remote Tools Client Agent components are installed when new clients are installed to that site, or when clients that are already installed update their site configuration.
