Purging Web Services Queues
Updated: April 1, 2008
Applies To: Groove Server 2007
The Groove Data Bridge provides a command line option to purge Web services queues of subscriptions and events, in the rare occurrence that they grow large enough to significantly impact Groove Data Bridge performance and you cannot otherwise delete those subscriptions and events. Typically, Web services applications contain built-in mechanisms for clearing events after they have been read. If the application cannot be corrected, you can use the command described here. Note that this command permanently removes all Groove Web services subscriptions and events, so use it only as a last resort.
To purge all Groove Web service subscriptions and events
Stop the Groove Data Bridge service by going to the Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services, right-clicking the GrooveEIS service, and selecting Stop.
From a Windows command line, type:
Enter a Groove Data Bridge password if it is requested.
The Groove Data Bridge will automatically shut down when purging finishes.
Restart the Groove Data Bridge server.
