Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 can crawl and index blog Web sites so that users’ queries include results from blog posts. By default, blogs that are in the default content source are automatically crawled and available for searches. Blog posts can also be added to existing Web site content sources. You can create a separate content source for the blogs you want to index. When creating a content source there is no option specifically labeled for blogs. Shared services administrators need only to select the Web Sites option when they create a content source for blogs.

Important

You must be a shared services administrator to perform this procedure.
