After you have installed Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007, you must configure the primary Shared Services Provider (SSP) that your SharePoint sites will rely on to provide services such as search, personalization, or business intelligence. This chapter helps you create the primary Shared Services Provider, and configure settings for the shared services that are hosted by that SSP.
