Finalize upgrade (Windows SharePoint Services)

For an in-place or gradual upgrade, after all sites have been upgraded you can finalize the upgrade. Finalizing upgrade removes the connection to the previous version and cleans up any temporary data.
After you finalize upgrade, you cannot go back to the farm upgrade process.

This content applies only to in-place and gradual upgrade processes. There is no finalize upgrade step for database migrations. |

In Central Administration, on the Operations tab, under Upgrade and Migration, click Finalize upgrade.

On the Finalize Upgrade page, read through the information; if you are ready to finalize, click Complete Upgrade.

Click OK to finalize upgrade.
