Change IP Address Settings Wizard

Use the Change IP Address Settings Wizard to change the IP address settings of a network adapter on the Windows EBS Management Server, Security Server, or Messaging Server. When you change the IP address settings on one server, the wizard reconfigures connections to the other two servers to keep your network functioning properly.

For more information about using the wizard, see the Microsoft Web site (https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=121798).

ImportantImportant
Changing the IP address of a network adapter briefly interrupts network connectivity. To minimize the impact to users on your network, change IP address settings during a scheduled service maintenance period.

If you are running the wizard on the Management Server or Messaging Server, click Check to verify the connections from the server to the other two Windows EBS servers. The status of the connections appears on the Check connectivity page.

Choose a network adapter

If you are running the wizard on the Security Server, you can choose to change the IP address settings of the internal network adapter or the external network adapter.

Click Check to verify the connections from the Security Server to the other two Windows EBS servers. The status of the connections appears on the Check connectivity page.

Choose IP address settings

Type the IP (IPv4) address settings in the text box. If you are changing the IP address of the external adapter of the Security Server, and you want to use the DHCP Server service in your Windows EBS environment to assign the IP address settings automatically, click Use DHCP to automatically configure the IP address settings.

Click Change to change the IP address settings of the adapter and to reconfigure the other two Windows EBS servers. The Progress of IP address change page shows the progress of the task, and the status appears on the Finish page.
