Procedure W08-DWCM.4: To install prerequisites for the second domain controller
Install Windows Server 2008 Standard Edition on AD02.
Enable Remote Desktop.
Modify Windows Firewall Settings for the Second Domain Controller

Log on to AD02 as local Administrator and open the Server Manager console.
Configure properties for Windows firewall with advanced security by setting the firewall state to Off.
Deploy the Second Domain Controller
Procedure W08-DWCM.6: To deploy the second domain controller
Log on to AD02 with the local Administrator account.
Open a command prompt and run DCPROMO.
Follow the on-screen instructions to add a domain controller to an existing domain in an existing forest. Set the following information:
FQDN of the forest to join: fabrikam.com
Alternate Credentials: Specify the fabrikam\administrator credentials
At the Network Credentials page, specify the FQDN of the forest to join - fabrikam.com. Under Alternate Credentials, specify the fabrikam\administrator credentials
Domain: fabrikam.com
Site: Default-First-Site-Name
Additional Domain Controller Options: Select DNS Server and Global Catalog
Note
You may receive a warning message stating 'This computer has dynamically assigned IP address(es)'. You must ensure that the server has a statically assigned IPv4 address. However, you may still receive this message, due to the fact that IPv6 is enabled and set to DHCP by default. As long as you have a statically assigned IPv4 address, it is safe to ignore the message and continue.
You may receive a delegation warning. It is safe to ignore the message and continue.
