Suggested Practices
To help you successfully master the exam objectives presented in this chapter, complete the following tasks.
Install Exchange
Do all the practices in this section.
- Practice 1: Edge Transport Server Install the Edge Transport server role on a stand-alone computer that is not a member of your domain, running Windows Server 2003.
- Correctly configure a subscription relationship with a Hub Transport server.
- Install the Forefront Security for Exchange Server 2007 evaluation on the Edge Transport server role.
- Practice 2: Enable Anti-spam Enable the anti-spam features of Exchange using Exchange Management Shell.
- Enable automatic updating of Exchange’s anti-spam features.
Configure Exchange Server Roles
Do all the practices in this section.
- Practice 1: OWA Configuration Configure the Client Access server role so that OWA clients are able to use notes and e-mail signatures and to select OWA themes.
- Configure the Client Access server role so that OWA clients are able to access Windows SharePoint Services but not Windows file shares.
- Practice 2: Mailbox Server Role Configuration Create an additional storage group and add a mailbox database.
- Change the settings on the new mailbox database so that deleted mailboxes are kept for 90 days.
- Practice 3: Hub Transport Role Configuration Configure the computer to accept mail for the Contoso.com domain.
- Configure Fabrikam.com as an internal relay domain.
- Configure an Edge subscription for an Edge Transport server if there is one in your test environment.
