Troubleshooting Exchange hook failures

If you receive a message (in the Forefront Protection 2010 for Exchange Server Administrator Console, the event log, or the Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2007 console) that says you are not hooked into the Transport or Mailbox server, try restarting the Microsoft Exchange Transport or the Microsoft Exchange Information Store service (the event log indicates the correct one). If that does not solve the problem, close the Forefront Protection 2010 for Exchange Server Administrator Console (if it is open) and restart the Microsoft Forefront Server Protection Controller service. If you still receive the errors, contact Microsoft Help and Support.
