Change the backup schedule

Configure Server Backup schedules the backup to run daily at 5:00 P.M. and 11:00 P.M. by default. However, you can change the time that your backup runs. You can also choose to run your backup at multiple times during the day.

You must be a network administrator to complete this procedure.

1. Open the Windows SBS Console.

2. On the navigation bar, click Backup and Server Storage.

3. In the task pane, click Change backup schedule. The Backup Schedule dialog box appears.

4. Select one of the following options:

   • Once a day. Sets Backup to run at 11:00 P.M. by default.
     
     
   • Twice a day. Sets Backup to run at 5:00 P.M. and 11:00 P.M. by default.
     
     
   • Custom. Does not set a default time for Backup to run.
     
     

5. If you want to change the time that Backup runs, in the list of times, select the check box for each time of day that you want your backup to run. Clear the check box for any time that you do not want backup to run.

6. When you have finished specifying the backup schedule, click OK.
