Enable or disable power management settings in Windows 7 and Windows Vista

To enable or disable power management settings in Windows 7 and Windows Vista

  1. Open the Windows SBS Console.

  2. On the navigation bar, click Network, and then click the Computers tab.

  3. In Computer Tasks, do one of the following:

    • To enable power management settings for client computers that are running Windows 7 or Windows Vista, click Enable Power Management in Windows 7 and Windows Vista.

      noteNote
      If you enable power management settings in Windows 7 and Windows Vista, network users cannot access a computer running Windows 7 or Windows Vista when it is in Sleep or Hibernate mode.

    • To disable power management settings for client computers that are running Windows 7 and Windows Vista, click Disable Power Management in Windows 7 and Windows Vista.
