Enable or disable Remote Web Access

Applies To: Windows Small Business Server 2011 Standard

To make Windows SBSĀ 2011 Standard network features available to remote workers, you must enable the Remote Web Access site. If you want to prevent users from accessing Remote Web Access, you must disable the site.

Note

You must be a network administrator to complete this procedure.

To enable or disable Remote Web Access

  1. Open the Windows SBS Console.

  2. On the navigation bar, click Shared Folders and Web Sites.

  3. Click the Web Sites tab.

  4. Right-click Remote Web Access, and then do one of the following:

    • To enable Remote Web Access so that users can remotely access network features, click Enable this site.

    • To prevent users from accessing Remote Web Access, click Disable this site.
