Network adapters and drivers that provide fault tolerance are available from some hardware manufacturers. This technology allows you to group network adapter ports for a connection to a single physical segment (this is called “teaming”). If connectivity through one port is not working, another port is activated automatically. This operation is transparent to the operating system and other devices on the network.
Teaming is not a supported scenario through the Connect to the Internet Wizard or the Fix My Network Wizard in Windows Small Business Server 2008. These wizards are not designed to set up this type of networking configuration, which would typically not be seen in a small business environment.
You should use the networking wizards included with Windows SBS to configure the server using a single network card.
If you choose to use teaming, you should not use the Windows SBS networking tools after you configure teaming because the tools will have an unknown effect on the team. Additionally, if you require support assistance, you will be asked to remove the team and use the Windows SBS networking wizards to properly configure your server for your network.
To delete a network team, you will need to uninstall the software and the virtual adapter.
1. Uninstall the teaming software and restart the server when prompted
2. Uninstall the virutal adapter from Device manager and then restart the server when prompted
