Troubleshooting MPS: Common Errors
This section contains Microsoft Provisioning System (MPS) error information. The following table includes some common errors you might encounter during MPS operations and how you might resolve them.

Access Denied |
The calling user account (MPSProvAcct-xxxxxx by default) is not member of the MPSFrontPageAccounts group; or the MPSFrontPageAccounts group is not a member of the Local Administrators group on the Web server. |
Ensure that the Calling User is a member of the MPSFrontPageAccounts group and that the group exists in the domain and is a member of the Local Administrators group on the Web server. |
Provisioning DNS services with the DNS Provider Client not installed on the computer running Microsoft Windows Server 2003 and DNS. |
