Package Authentication (DTS Package Migration Wizard)

Use the Package Authentication page to provide passwords for password-protected packages. The page lists the password-protected packages that are stored in the storage location that you specified earlier in the wizard. The storage location is either the msdb database in the specified instance of SQL Server, or the specified structured storage file in the specified location.

Encrypted Packages

Select the package or packages that use a particular password.

Password

Open the Package Password dialog box to enter the password for the package or packages that you have selected in Encrypted Packages.

After you enter the password for the package, the package moves from the Encrypted Packages list to the Authenticated Packages list.

Authenticated Packages

View the list of packages for which you have already supplied the passwords.
